The Moeller check: find out in one visit what is inside your plant
Your Klöckner Moeller controller is still running. For how much longer? In the Moeller check we back up the program, record the hardware and spare parts situation and assess the risk of failure. Then you can decide calmly how to proceed. At a fixed price, agreed in advance.
Discontinued, but in use every day
In many plants, Klöckner Moeller controllers have been running reliably for 20 or 30 years. But every year, keeping them running gets harder:
- The PS24, PS3, PS4 and PS416 series have not been manufactured for years. Spare parts are becoming scarce and expensive.
- Often the program only exists in the controller itself. Source code and documentation are missing.
- Most people who know Sucosoft S30 or S40 have retired.
- If the CPU fails, the plant stops, and nobody can load the program again.
What you can do now: back up the program while the plant is still running. Then decide calmly: keep it running with a stock of spare parts, or modernise step by step.
First step: free photo check
Before we visit you, we get a picture of your plant. Free of charge and without obligation.
A photo of the control cabinet is all it takes
Send us a photo of your control cabinet to moeller@deger-automation.de. We tell you which modules are installed, what the spare parts situation looks like and what a failure would mean.
How the Moeller check works
- Arrange a dateWe agree scope and fixed price with you in advance, based on the photo check or a short conversation.
- Read out and back up the programWe read the program directly from the CPU or memory module, even if neither programming software nor source code is available. The plant usually keeps running.
- Record the hardwareWe record CPU, modules, fieldbus and operator panels and check which parts are still available.
- Assess the risk and recommendYou get a clear assessment: how high is the risk of failure, and which path suits your plant?
Then you decide
We support you on every path, with experience from many Moeller plants and our own tools for Sucosoft programs.
Keep it running
With spare parts from stock. On request we load your program onto a spare CPU or memory module, so a replacement is ready the moment a fault occurs.
Make it readable
We decompile the program and document it: commented program, I/O assignment list and functional description.
Partial conversion
Replace individual plant sections or operator panels, while the rest keeps running as usual.
Modernise
Step by step to Siemens S7-1200/1500 with TIA Portal or Beckhoff TwinCAT. The plant works the way your team knows it.

What does the Moeller check cost?
We agree a fixed price in advance. It depends on the controller type, the size of the plant and travel. We confirm the price before we start.
Does the plant have to stop for the read-out?
Usually not. We read the program from the running controller. We clarify in advance whether that is possible for your plant.
What if there is no source code?
That is the normal case. We read the program from the CPU or memory module and can decompile it into a readable form with our own tools.
Is the photo check really free?
Yes. You send us a photo, and we give you an initial assessment of the modules, spare parts situation and risk. Without obligation.
How is your Moeller controller doing?
Send us a photo of your control cabinet or give us a call. We will tell you plainly whether action is needed.
